Today, the National Insurances Contributions (NICs) threshold will rise to £12,570 - the single biggest tax cut in a decade. This brings the NICs threshold in line with Income Tax personal allowance, cutting tax for 30 million British workers by an average of £330 a year.
Additionally, over 8 million households in the UK will receive £326 as the first of two cost-of-living instalments totalling £650 are delivered next week.
